I have been using different CFD codes for a while now, but I'm taking on a new project that involves modeling the resistance for different ship hull designs. I've been doing some research and it seems that in addition to general-purpose software, there are many specialized packages out there. I would prefer a package that is capable of doing potential flow simulations, as well viscous flow. And of course, something that is cheaper and easier to work with. Any suggestions/comments are welcome.
