Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding SIMPLE method.

Q. Can the SIMPLE method or its variants like SIMPLER etc., be used in codes based on explicit time stepping ? If yes, can you please refer a work, which reports this.

Thank You

for unsteady problem, we use projection method or PISO

The question of satyajeet13 was not about steady or unsteady but explicit or implicit.

So I'm answering. Theoretically why not ? but I do not see the real interest to do such way ? For explicit time scheme you should better use the chorin algorithm which is in fact a kind of projection method. You have only two fractional steps instead of many iterations between to consecutive time step n and n+1

To be precise for Ztdep , simple can be used also for unsteady problems.
