particles in a cyklon

dear,
I´m calculating the flow in a air cyklon with a dilute particle flow. The particle size is smaller than 50 micron. I have tried to use a well converged result of one phase flow as inititial condition for a simulation including fully coupled particles. After a few injection steps the particles show a very strange behaviour. Some of them can fly upstream! I´m sure that this has something to do with numerical problems... However, can somebody give me some advices how to calculate a two phase flow in a cyklon, please. boundary layers? how much/thick? timestep? number of tracks (I tried 1000 and 200)? I use CFX5.7 I´d appreciate it if somebody can help me. greetings tilman |
