I am trying to simulate a small furnace with a 9" x 9" (crossection) and 3m high chimney on CFD software.
2' from the bottom, there is a damper which is a plate that moves horizontally blocking the path of the hot gases (Temp. from 300K to 1400K, Ambient = 300K). This damper creats a pressure drop proportionate to velocity head and also reduces the chimney suction (buoyancy) effect. What strategy should I follow to model this chimney damper system. |
