CFD software package

Hi, I'm looking at different CFD package for electronics enclosure cfd simulation. Which one of Floworks, CFdesign, Flowtherm or CFX are the more practical to use with Solidworks.

FloWorks is very tightly integrated with Solidworks and uses a hex meshing scheme. You could also look at EFD.Lab which comes with Solidworks. Both products can handle bad CAD without user repair.
Cfdesign is also is integrated but k-eps models are tough to converge, result in large tet meshes and doesn't handle bad CAD very well. I don't think CFX or Flotherm are Solidworks integrated at all. |
