Hi, I am undergrad from Korea and currently studying aerospace engineering
Since I was big fan of motorsports, I started studying CFD years ago, done some internship and research under professor of my school(no publications yet but). I've recently found interest on Electric Propulsion(Things like Ion thrusters, not electric motor) and MagnetoPlasmadynamics(you know, Nuclear Fusion things), and found that there are some labs that work on these topics in our school too. However, I am aiming to study abroad for Ph.D, and I neither got 4.0 GPA nor SCI publication. I still love CFD too and I want to stick on my current topic to make some results since I don't have much time left to try and make decent results on both area, but apply for both CFD and Plasma labs. I know it isn't that easy to live doing whatever I want, but would my experience in CFD helpful for applying for such labs too? I found that some labs also use scientific computing too... I've done some work about external aerodynamics of vehicle or supersonic flow, but not on those research area. |
