What is the best practice to select solver threads ? should we select the no. of cores we have or logicall processers?

where is the utilization of GPU option? When I run simulaiton I see the usage of computer and RAM as 100% but no usage of GPU. So when is the GPU Utilized? I would appreciate your response.
