I'm exploring an option to run Star CCM+ on Amazon AWS EC2 cluster. There is very limited information available on how to do it.
Has anyone gone thru this process? Can you please share some information? This is what I'm thinking based on the information that I found: - Setup AWS account - Create EBS storage - Create instance - Deploy HPC Cluster (Cnf Cluster) - Install Star CCM+ on this cluster - Upload job file - Run job - Save results - Delete instance Anything missing? |

The mini nodes were free when I did it. So you can make the master persistent. Bring compute nodes online only when there is work to do.
