Good evening,
I hope someone can help me.I have installed ANSYS 17 on Windows 2008 Sever(2 cups). I have tried to open a parallel version of fluent (local Machine). When I want to start fluent I got following error: ----------------- host spawning node 0 on machine"win-OIBCSPQLIF1A"(WIN64) WARNING: No cached password or password provided. use '-pass' or '-cache' to provede password MPI Application rank 0 exited before MPI_init() with atatus -1073714511 --------------- I tried the other settings under “parallel settings”and setup again, but I still got the same error message. If anyone has an idea for successful parallel settings, please let me know. Thanks. |

I don't use fluent, only ANSYS mechanical and CFX in distributed mode, but this is how I cache the password for Intel MPI and PC MPI:
To cache your Windows password, open a Command Prompt window and run: (Version Specific) paste the entire line in, inclusding the quotes: For PCMPI: "%AWP_ROOT170%\commonfiles\MPI\Platform\9.1.3.1\Wi ndows\setpcmpipassword.bat" Then follow the instructions and type in your password. For INTEL MPI: "%AWP_ROOT170%\commonfiles\MPI\Intel\5.0.3.048\Win dows\setimpipassword.bat" Then follow the instructions and type in your password. NOTE: To run earlier versions of ANSYS Products, please set the Intel-MPI environment variable "I_MPI_SMPD_VERSION_CHECK=disable" |

Good evening,
I have the same problem with fluent 18.2. At the end, did you manage to solve? If yes, could you explain me how? Thank you very much |
