endar is on a distinguished road
hi
i am trying to simulate a three blade HAWT using MRF. by that, i will try to determine the moment coefficient.
however, to find the torque, i need to input the data for area and length in the reference values task panel. i don't know what values to put.
please find below the geometry of my 3D wind turbine and the dimensions for the domains:-
diameter of primary fluid domain: 4m
diameter of secondary fluid domain: 1.08m
length to inlet upstream of wind turbine: 2m
length to exit downstream of wind turbine: 4m
questions:
1. what reference values for area and length should i use?
2. from what boundary should i compute the reference values?
anyone, please, any help will be most appreciated
thanks.
