Hello, I am solving the polymer extrusion problem.
I have a question that is the boundary layer of the polymer extrusion.

The polymer metarial is sliding on the wall, then do I have to making the boundary layer?

I do not think so, because the polymer has very high viscosity.
The Reynolds number is less then 1.(Re<<1)
