Hi there
I'v used the fuel cell model to make some calculations based on setting fixed potential as boundary conditions, and there's no problems with it.
But now I try to calculate my case based on "constant current density", and I follow the manual to use this command:

/define/models/resolved-MEA-fc/advanced-setup/stack-management/

And then the text command shows:

/define/models/resolved-MEA-fc/advanced-setup/stack-management>
create-fc-unit list-zones-briefly submit-setup
delete-fc-unit modify-fc-unit suggest-setup
list-fc-units reset-setup

I try to find the "set-stack-current-density" command, but it seems not available.
I'v been stuck in this problem for days. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Best regards, Ryan

hi sir, 1 am working on numerical study on PEMFC using fluent too, sorry for i donn't know the questions you need, but could you do me a favor? i meet some problems whcih you may know how to deal with.

firstly, while difine boundary types in gambit, we have to choose face of channel and gas diffuse layer.for channel ,Are these faces include all the faces of the channel except for inlet, outlet and the face which contact with gas diffuse layer? Are faces of gas diffuse layer include two face that contact with channel and catalyst layer?

in additon, where can we get current density after the calculation to get I-V curve, and my result of the simulation is 9.18A/m^2, which is too small compared with status in other papers. Do you know why?

Thank you very much!

hi man,
Which version is your Fluent?
I am using the v12.1 Fluent and so I make my geometry and mesh with
Design Modeler and Meshing instead of gambit. Sorry about that.

And if you using the Fuel Cell package module to do your case, you might obtain the current density by reporting the volume integrals of membrane, which is accessed within the report panel.

thanks

Thank you very much, i use 6.3 version , did you mean if we modeling and meshing in Design Modeler and Meshing we don't have to conduct zone assingment and directly export mesh file into fluent? That will be much more convenient. i have check my file again and adjust the parameters in fluent, it seems that the result is slightly improved.
