Hi there,
I am modeling 3D flow through 3 parallel plates but with 2 different flows (one entering in the positive X-direction and the other entering in the negative X-direction). I would like to model this system as a periodic flows system. In FLUENT is possible to set the periodic conditions for one direction (X, Y or Y) but it seems that it is only possible for one of the inlets. The idea is to set two different inlets as periodic flows (reason: fully developed regime) and vary the mass flow rate. Please given some advise or comment about it. Thanks in advance. |

In FLUENT, There is no limitation on no of periodic boundary condition. You can implement your idea (Two different inlet inlet as periodic BC) through the mesh interface. here is the link about mesh interface. hopefully it will help. https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Flu...g/node1132.htm |
