Hi friends..
I am trying to solve heat transfer problem but i am not getting temperature distribution as expected. Problem consist of one outer pipe of 67mm dia and two inner cylindrical cup of dia 26mm and 28mm and of height 40mm and 20mm respectively. heat is generated (15W) inside the 26mm cup (height of cup at which 99% most of the heat is generated is 6mm). I have given boundary condition as velocity inlet 0.18m/s (given in problem) and pressure outlet (1 atm) as boundary condition. There is stagnant water between two cup. I am expecting maximum temp at the wall of inner cup (28mm dia cup) is 333K (through rough hand calculation) but i am getting much lower value 303K. I will really appreciate any help. |

Have you changed your operating pressure?
Or did you want 2 atm at the outlet? |

Hi Zigainer
No, I dont want 2 atm pressure at outlet. I have kept operating pressure as 101325 Pa and in defining boundary condition for pressure outlet, i have taken gauge pressure 0. |
