The FLUENT documentation says it's possible to compare two or more case files side by side. Do you know how to do it?

Regards

Hello Zigainer.

If you're using Workbench, then you can simply link 2 fluent cases to CFD post in the work table layout.

If you're firing up CFD post as a stand-alone you need to click on 2 or more views. Then, open your first results file. Click on the second view pane and then open your second results file.
Just like that.

Give me a shout if this works.

Hi,

it work fine for two windows! Thanks.
But one more question, is it possible, that the view(direction) in both views are the same? So that I simply can change the view in one window and the second window is changing automatically.

Yes it's possible! You just have to click on the button where there is a padlock ! Just at the top of the view.
You can also compare cases with a simple operation (+ or - ...). See at the "Tools" menu .
It's very useful.

Your picture looks like CFX 13.0 not Fluent 13.0

Yes and No.

No : You cannot compare at the same time

Yes : You can save the views and when you read 2nd case then apply saved views.

When you use the workbench, the result tool is CFD-post, it's the post processor of cfx.

Thank, but if I don't use the workbench, how can I compare cases? Or which version includes this "compare case" tool?
Thanks
