time step and iteration

Hi, I am a beginner in ANSYS FLUENT
May I ask, what is the difference between time step and iteration? Thanks a lot. |

Hi,
the time step is the delta time of the simulation, which corresponds to the real time. Iteration is a cycle to reach a solution; in fact you can have multiple iterations per time step. Daniele |

thank you, so if i choose step size as 0.0001 and time step=100 with 100 iterations, at what time should i expect the result to stop, is it simple multiplications? like 100*100=10,000 iterations?
