Hi,

I am simulating a two phase (liquid solid) flow in a vertical pipe. I need to know the predicted flow rate at a particular cross section from bottom.

In fluent there exits options for evaluating the surface integrals (Report-> Surface integrals). In the 'Report Type' panel there exists two options-'Flow rate' and 'Volume flow rate'. If one opts for 'Flow rate' it allows selections of particular property and phase for which flow rate is meant to be calculated. But n selecting 'Volume flow rate', it evaluates a flow rate but doesn't ask for selection of phase. It isn't clear for which phase the volumetric flow rate is being calculated.

Can anyone clarify on how to evaluate the volumetric flow rate for a phase at a particular surface?
