Hi,

I would like to simulate particle paths in a rotating separator including blades.

But the Fluent 6.3 User Guide says:
“When multiple reference frames are used in conjunction with the discrete phase model, the display of particle tracks will not, by default, be meaningful. Similarly, coupled discrete-phase calculations are not meaningful.”

My question is: if I run coupled DPM-continuous phase calculations with the MRF model, the results will be wrong or just the display of the particle paths?

If the results are wrong, have you a suggestion to perform correct coupled DPM simulations in a rotating device (without using the option “track in absolute frame” because it gives wrong particle-blade interactions in my case)? Should I use a moving mesh with unsteady DPM calculations?

Thx
