to prepare a mixture of pulverised coal &air in fluent

hi,
i have to measure the pressure drop in pcpipes . in these pipes flowing fluid is pulverised coal & air.but in fluent we have no option for the mixture of pukverised coal &air,,,,, please give me suggestions thats how can we create a mixture in fluent. thnx in advance. |

Hello,
In your case, you should use DPM(discrete phase model). At the inlet boundary conditions, you can set the coal injections in the air flow. Normally, coal & air flow is under combustion condition but if you don't want to reaction, you can disable the check of volumetric and surface reaction.
