Dear all,
I'm a starter on using FLUENT, and I got lots of difficulties. Now I'm trying to learn dynamic mesh, and in the attachment is my first trial. I create a circle with one blade inside. The tip of the blade touches the internal rim of the circle. I would like to try to make the tip rotates about the center of the circle. However, I couldn't make it. "Negative Cell" occurs every single time I ran the "Mesh Motion". I hope that I could get some help here. Thank you guys sooooo much! |

Hi Bridges,
I have a question to you at first. How do you implement your text file in Fluent. What you wrote is no typical UDF-Code. Did you compile it? Try it with (omega_z 0 0 0.5). (omega_z 2 3 4) causes a movement around all three axes (x, y and z). As your mesh is only 2D, you get negative cells at once. The unit of angular velocity is rad/s. If the problem still arises, try to decrease your time step until it works. Good luck! Daniel |
