Hi, I am trying to calculate displacement and momentum thickness.
I obtained the mean velcity profile from Fluent. I plotted the graph in excel and managed to get the 6th degree polynomial equation. I then used this with simpsons rule to calculate my displacement thickness (area under the curve) - this is however out by more than 50%! has anyone calculated displacement and momentum thickness from mean velocity data obtained from fluent? - IF YES - PLEASE HELP! if not - any ideas? Many Thanks |
