Hi
I am simulating an unsteady periodic motion of an airfoil with pitch and plunge motion, and I have these questions regarding this problem:

1) how can I keep the resolution of mesh, by using dynamic mesh parameters? for instance how can I specify a maximum cell size in order to have all the new cells in the updated mesh below this size?

2) I want to compute the mean lift and drag coefficients, is it possible to do this with fluent? or for instance I want to normalize some forces by dividing them to an specific amount or compute the Cl/Cd ratio. how can I do this in fluent?

3) how can I write the data presented in fluent in an data file? lets say .txt

Thanks in advance

in surface->monitor->surface (or forces) you can write you desired data every time step and in another post processor find the mean value

first export your data to tecplot and then open the saved file in a text editor.

Dear Amir
Thanks for your comment, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me How can I import data to Tecplot?
Thanks
Regards

there are 2 ways for that:
1)
first export file from fluent to tecplot:
file->export->tecplot
then in tecplot:
file->load data files->tecplot data loader
2)
in tecplot:
file->load data files->fluent data loader : read your case and data

if you want to access your data e.g. in a txt file you can follow first procedure and then open the exported file in a text viewer or you can follow both procedures and after importing files in tecplot:
file->write data file ...
