Default Problems simulating a pressure wave supercharger

Hi,
I am trying to simulate the flow through a pressure wave supercharger using FLUENT 6.3. The pressure wave supercharging concept uses the engine's exhaust gases to compress the fresh air entering the engine. The flow is controlled using a rotating cell wheel, which directs the flow in a number of channels... The general process can be seen below:

I have set out the problem by representing the cell wheel as a sliding strip with interfaces for each of the ports as follows:

I have used periodic conditions on either end of the sliding cell section and have defined the section as a moving reference frame but when simulating, I do not seem to be getting any movement from the section. Is there a better way that I could set up this problem or is there something i'm missing!

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Does anyone have any idea on how I can make the sliding boundary move translationally? I have followed similar steps to that of FLUENTs rotationally sliding mesh tutorial, but for some reason I cannot replicate this movement in my simulations.

I can provide any other information regarding the case set up if that helps determine where i'm going wrong!

Thanks,

Sam
