I use the Ansys 13, and have several quastion as below.
First, when using coupled Level set with the VOF model, how i set the initial condition? is it ok for level set function to set zero in intialization? second, is it possible to sovle the VOF+Level set with Solidification/melting model together? Please give me advice. Thanks |

Did you solve the problem? Did you figure out how to set initial conditions of coupled level set and VOF method in Ansys?

Can you please help me.. I have same question .. How to initialize the level-set field ..i have defined the volume fraction correctly for my problem.
1- if I only use vof model. (explicit- geo-reconstruction) residual converges and simulation runs and I am getting results. 2- I have to run simulation with CLSVOF in FLUENT. when i select this option and keeping all other parameters same, my residual for ls-function does not change. I assume I have not initialized Level-set field as I did in my in-house code. Please describe the method to initialize the level set field in fluent. thanks
