Hi all,

I need little help in sealing inter chamber leakage in wankel simulation. I am trying to impose momentum source (sink) near rotor tips. I wrote udf code but it doesn't seems to work at all. If anybody can help please.

Thanks in advance

Hi pravin.iitk,

I'm very sorry to divert your thread as I don't have an answer to your problem and I really hope you have solved it by now.

I am seeking for advice on setting up a dynamic simulation of the gas circuit in a Wankel engine; no combustion, just the rotor motion and the mesh deformation.

I have a UDF for moving the rotor CG on a circular path, the radius equal to e, which seems it works but I'm getting negative volume errors and I can't sort out how to define the dynamic mesh zones. The only thing I'm sure about is setting the rotor as a rigid body.
The mesh is hexahedral and consists of the rotor and housing surfaces and a top and a bottom surface to enclose the volume mesh.

I would be very grateful if you could help me.

All the best,
