Hello, I am trying to model boiling with the VOF model of Fluent. Right now, I am trying to figure out what options I do have to get the exact position of the interface (making a Reconstruction or coupling LevelSet).
I understand Fluent make this calculation when the Geometric Reconstruction Scheme is employed, but I could not find any way to recover the position of the interface (trough UDF). I thought it worth a try asking in the forum, before starting to develop the same thing on my own, just in case... Cheers, Diego. |

Try using Get_Surface_Distance(cell_t c, Thread *t); in sg_vof.h
I hope this will return distance of interface from the cell center though I myself havent used it. So pls post ur results regarding same. Regards, Bharat |

Hi
Did you get your answer? I have the same problem! Please let me know if you could access to VOF variables in fluent? BR |
