Hey Guys,
This is my first post on this forum and it seems like everyone is really knowledgable about Fluent, so I figured I would ask you guys for some help regarding UDFs in Fluent. I'm new to writing or using UDFs, so this is quite challenging for me. Anyways, here is what I have: I am trying to obtain a velocity plot of a prechamber combustion spark plug. I have the average temperature and average pressure as a function of crank angle and I need to somehow link this to fluent. So far I have been looking at the UDFs for profiles but this seems to only work on boundaries, not cell volumes. Is there a way to link/access the pressure/temperature data to the cell volumes (using UDS, DEFINE_SOURCE?), instead of faces? And is it possible to access the data directly instead of using an equation for the data (pointer?)? I have also been looking at the profiles button under the cell zones conditions and I found ways to set the temperature and the velocity profiles (fixed values?)but not the Pressure. Anyways, any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance! Kevin, EIT |
