I'm trying to write my custom Devolatilization law for biomass combustion and I have some hard time figuring how to do it right.
After defining mass and temperature change of the particle in the DEFINE_CUSTOM_LAW macro I have to specify mass and energy source in continuous phase but I don't know how. I used 2.5.13. chapter of the Fluent UDF guide but without success. The difference is that I use PDF mixture model so my evaporating specie is defined as secondary stream which is not available under species list in materials panel. I tried with C_DPMS_PDF_2(c,t) macro but its not working. So i'm pretty much stuck here and would appreciate any help. And one other question. When specifying species source with C_DPMS_YI(c,t,n) as in UDF manual is it added as mass fraction, kg/m^3 or in some other unit? Thanks in advance, Igor B. |

After defining the new evaporation law, you need to integrate it one of the DPM user defined law. Mass and energy terms to continuous phase can be incorporated by using DPM_SOURCE function.
