Here is a simple question:
How to calculate source term of a 2D simulation based on the actual 3D case? If a source term of 1000 kg/m3.s is to be be imposed in a cell zone in 3D simulation, we just simply enter +1000 in that zone. Now, let's say the actual geometry is: x=0.02 m y=0.03 m z= 0.008 m and the actual source term is 1000 kg/m3 .s If the simulation is to be run in x-y plane, what value should be entered in the source term panel? is it: 1000*0.008/1.0 ? |
