I would be very thankful if you could help me.
I am trying to simulate a flow over a stationary cylinder at Reynolds number of 200. My lift coeff are way smaller than expected. My mesh looks fine, case is laminar, Re = 200, convergence is good. I dont know where the problem is ??? Q2.) How can I export the values of lift/drag force to a txt or a .dat file from fluent ??? Thank you very much. |

In the Force monitor panel just check the Write option, Fluent will save Cl at every iteration/time step for you in a text file.

I have all the data files with me for every iterations. The question is how do I get the lift force values and plot it against time ???

Instead of getting all the values of Cl can I get all values of Forces instead ???
I am not sure if the values I am plugging in the reference value table is correct or not. Thanks dude for the reply. |
