Hi all,

I was just given a Dell Poweredge R200 computer, a stand-alone module of what is supposed to be part of a cluster.

The OS on this computer is Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

Since it has two Xeon processors and 8 GB of RAM, it seems to be quite a good platform for me to be able to run large meshes on Fluent at home.

I have tried to install Fluent 6.3.26 64-bits but when I tried to open the program it didn't work. When launching the installer a warning message popped up saying that the platform wasn't compatible with that version of Fluent. But I obviated it, since the OS is supposed to be 64-bits (isn't it??), and the installation went on normally.

I haven't done any different to what I do when installing Fluent 32-bits - just launching the installer and that's all.

I'm aware that Fluent can be run on Windows Server 2003, because both Dell and Microsoft have reported it:

- Dell: http://content.dell.com/us/en/enterp...beden.pdf.aspx

- Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/events/seri...&webcastid=276

I don't know if there is something special that has to be done to install Fluent 64-bits on this OS unlike on Windows XP 32/64-bits.

Any help or hint will be more than welcome.

Thanks a lot beforehand,

Ivan.
