I've reviewed the documentation but still unclear on some FLUENT inputs involving COP.
I'm trying to determine COP for a missile fuselage, no aero-control surfaces. There is a boatail (i.e. thrust can and nozzle but lets simplify for now) Radius of fuselage= 12.15 inches Fuselage overall = 390 inches In FLUENT: 1. Reference Length and Area Is reference length longitudinal or lateral? Is reference area, the cross-sectional area normal to free-stream flow? 2. Fluent origin coordinates of mesh The fuselage body is centered in the mesh on a symmetry plane. Can I assume the coordinate of the input vector for a COP report =0, e.g. y=0? Or must I somehow use a tool to determine the coordinate for the longitudinal axis of the fuselage. |

Any takers on this question?
Appreciate any insights, |
