ANSYS 12.1 2D modelling and meshing problem please help

hello,
i have a project, but i cant create 2D model and meshing. is it be a surface to mesh? i sketch lines and convert it to surface but mesh module dont accept that. have anyone got 2D tutorial that include modelling to results. Please help me how can i model a 2D and bounday conditions |

for 2d, your surface in DM has to be in the xy-plane and the z-coordinate has to be zero. check this at first.

I always put the 2D surface in the +x +y quadrant of the xy plane, at Z=0.
Also, when you export the mesh, make sure you click the 'export 2D mesh' button. |
