Hi
I am new in CFD I try to simulate a bubble column in 2D with axis boundary condition. first of all I had a problem with floating point error and the initial value. When I rotated my Geometry for 90 degree and made my axis boundary to be in x direction it was resolved and I got correct initial value and the error was solved. But when I tried to make my geometry all in positive direction( I mean a quadrangle that all of it's ages are in positive region of coordinates) I had the floating point error before starting the iteration. so I have a question: If I do my simulation with a geometry that is not in the positive region of the coordinate (it is actually in 4th region in xy coordination) is it anything wrong with my simulation? if you have any opinion I will be glad to know. thank you m.b |

Refer to Section 9.3.3 of User guide which briefs abt restrictions for analysis using axisymmetric coordinate system
hope it helps. |
