i would like to find out what equation has been used in Fluent for the calculation of Total Heat Transfer Flux. I checked my value with the equation Q = m.Cp.(dT) but got a small value whereas the value shown tehre is higher.

Example:
m=0.1 kg/s
Cp of Air: 1 KJ/kg.K

dT = 600K

Therefore, Q = 0.1x1x600 = 60KJ

But the value shown for the particular Air Inlet shows 20,000 approximately. Why is it like that? Is Fluent using another equation to calculate. If so, I would urgently require to know that equation for my project.

Waiting for a reply...

Thanks in advance
