Hello everybody,

I want to plot and write to a file a time dependence of temperature in one point in Fluent 12.1 transient simulation. The plot or written data should by temperature on y-axis vs. time on x-axis.

I am able to define a point, but than I am lost. I was not able to find it in User guide or other materials and it is different than in previous version of Fluent.

if anyone has any experiences with this, I would be very gratefull for any recommendations... thanks a lot

Try this: Solve -> Monitors -> Surface Monitors

Hai even i am plotting de same temp vs time. But when i use the path u told me in surface monitors..what report type do i need to use wen i want to plot for exact temp values and time...i think integral doent showing wat i need...

thank you

Hi,
try "vertex average value" for the temperature monitor of a point

thanks everybody! The surface monitors did not work with report type-integral (it wrote only zeros all the time), but now it works with VERTEX AVERAGE VALUE :-)

Hai,

I am not getting the required temp values when i use 'vertex average type'.Any other suggestions?

Thank you
