Hi guys,
I am simulating the injection of steam into a vessel. At first the vessed is filled with some air and steam, the temperature is 386.95K, and the pressure is 0.24MPa, the mass fraction of steam is 0.3474. Then the steam is injected to the vessel at the speed of 0.00111Kg/s. I apply the species transport model without reactions embeded in Fluent, and the gas is assumed as ideal gas. but i found that the mass of air in the vessel is changing with time. i am confused about this, how can it happen? i mean, i just inject the steam into the vessel, not the air! Would you please help me? Thank you in advance. PS: my case is attached as below: |

What is your convergence criteria?
Let FLUENT run enough until the residual's plot is a horizontal line. That was my problem when I was dealing with species. Mohammad |
