hi,
Fluent is new for me so i'm new in forum.
I need your help about heat generation in flow.

i have a pipe and inside the pipe there is a heat generating fluid. i learned from user guide that it is possible to add heat generation from the walls but in my case heat generation occurs in the fluid. so i cannot find how to add it.
is it possible to add constant heat generation inside the flowing fluid? if so how?

waiting for your respond. thanks
Omar

hi
the heat generation is possible apply to the fluid. the condiction is on the region of fluid so you able the source term in the windows of water region.

is the heat generation zone a moving zone, like moving with the fluid. or just stationary sitting there generating heat.
If the second one, you just need to create a separate zone for it and set the 'source term' in this zone.

Thank you very much bob12, i found the adding section on program. it is really easy but i couldn't find it first.

nstar i should thank you too. it is a moving fluid. and if heat generation is constant, we can add it from the program easily. but if it's not constant, i will ask you again.
