Hi all, i am performing an analysis of the flow around an orthogonal wing (with aspect ratio 1, naca 0012 airfoil and no special wingtip). I created a quite big domain for the wing (dimensions 17m to catch the wake properly, 3m wide and 16m high) but i can't get the wake vortices. The mesh is thorough (with a nice inflation layer) and the cl i get matches the experimental. Any suggestions?
Now i am running an Aspect Ratio 3 wing to check if the problem is the fact that my wing was very small and the counter-rotating wingtip vortices have some sort of interaction. I searched for relevant bibliography but so far no matches. |
