Hi all,
I'm working on an unsteady simulation with XP. I've saved my "Case and data" files for each second, my time step is 10e-3, so I have about 300 "Case and data" files. Totally I have about 300 seconds. How can I make an animation of these 300 seconds? Should I save for each "case and data" file a .jpeg and use a program to assemble all those images in a video? Thank you very much |

Hi,
As I know for the unsteady simulation you should make mpeg video file as follows: Solve/animate/define/ Hope to share experience on CFD Regards, Thanh |

Calculation activities for each time step
e.g: /di/set/picture/driver jpeg /di/set/cont/surface A () /di/view/restore-view B /di/cont velocity 0 1 /di/save-picture "/home/picture.jpg" |

That is the procedure if you have only one "case and data" file. I want assemble 300 different "case and data" files. Thanks for reply Thanh.
@hubiloo What does that piece of code do? How can I assemble? |

with calculation activities --> create/edit execute commands you can define different kinds of activities for each time step or iteration...
The given code is a text command (check out the help), which is execute each time step... |

I do not want iterate, I want make an animation. Can you do that with only case and data files?

Maybe there is a better way, but in my opinion you have to calculate again...
with /display/save-picture/"folder/file.jpg" you can take pictures of every time step. After your simulation, put all pictures to a movie together. |
