I tried to analyze a shrouded propeller with moving mesh.
I tested FLUENT 6.3 under both x64 CentOS Linux and WinXP professional edition(32bit). After I set up the problem to solve it with moving mesh, I checked the grid but no problem was occurred. However, when I started to iterate with unsteady solver, then I encountered following error messages... Code:
WARNING: non-positive volumes exist. divergence detected in AMG solver: pressure correction Primitive Error at Node 5: floating point exception I also tried to solve the problem with same setting but stationary mesh, there was no problem like this at all. When I set an moving mesh for an open propeller, there was no problem too. Why this happened and what should I do? |

for the non-positive volumes problem, you should check your remeshing settings, eg. min/max length scale and size remesh interval.

Dear ekakavand
Just made grid again and now I have no problem with my computation. Sincerely, Geon-Hong |
