I have a problem in making a spiral coil in Gambit. After putting many points and made spline and swipping the circular meshed face on the meshed spline I got the volume but when exporting mesh gives error of higher order elements. I can not make it using ACAD as I can not save STEP OR IGSC files. Please advise. Wael

Try to split in some volume then mesh each volume. maybe it can reduce your complex geometry. you can use FLUENT 12 cause it works in AUTOCAD 2009. but maybe there is something wrong about its connectivity.
