Default vof model is not compatible with density gradient

fluent help said that vof model is used only based on the pressure solver.
but density gradient C_R_G(c,t) is only for density solver. they are not compatible. if i wanta use it in my udf, what should i do?

anyone can help? or can we calculate the gradient of some scalars by udf?
