Hi,

I´m modelling the atmosphere in FLUENT. I want to obtain an equilibrium solution for the temperature, pressure an density distribution.

I think the main problem is to set the pressure distribution. The temperature distribution is as follow:

T(z)=288.16-6.5e-3*z

But when I set the atmosphere pressure field
P(z)=101325*(1-2.26e-6*z])^52.42
it doesn´t appear to be an equilibrium solution. I think it would be due to the hydrostatic pressure. I´m not sure how to initialize the pressure field.

The BC are Pressure Outlet with the same distributions.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance
