hello,

I am simulating a pulsating flow through a pipe. I am using a udf file for the pressure. When I run the display --> pathlines to see the flow pattern it is pulsating but the flow starts at two different points; in the middle and at the right side (inlet). I would like it to be pulsating from just the inlet.

Dear ppa
I hope you have solved your problem, I am facing the same problem but from the very beginning stage.
Can you kindly answer the following questions for me
· How do you simulate a pulsating flow using pressure gradient through a simple pipe
· What is the UDF file
I am really in a big need for you answer, and is very much appricated

You have to write a UDF file using DEFINE_PROFILE; Within in this UDF is a written c-program to tell fluent how to distribute the pressure. You must read over the Fluent UDF Manual and examples in order to to this.
