hello to everybody. I have a fin ( straight fin of uniform rectangular cross section: w*t*l; w,l>>t)) attached to a three-dimensional brick (H*T*W). To the purpose to enhancing the volume mesh, could i simplify the fin with a two dimensional fin ,deleting the thickness t and modeling the conduction along l and w? in this case, the interface among the fin and the solit would be an edge (lenght =w), can the conduction heat transfer happen anyway?
