Hi all,

I'm using the dynamic mesh capability to displace a wall in a model using GRID_MOTION, however I keep getting negative volumes.
I'm displacing each node separately, and I'm using remeshing and smoothing on a unstructured mesh. I've tried different parameters for dynamic zones and parameters, and also different time steps; however I keep getting negative volumes.
What I wanted to know is if anyone knows if there's a way to limit the node displacement so I don't get skewness over 0.95, or if there's a way to do non-rigid displacement using a different macros (maybe displacing each cell as a whole)

Thanks!

u have set the neighbour cell size?

I think that is the parameter to let Fluent know about what size u need to remesh or layering.

yes I did. When I defined my wall as a dynamic zone (user defined) I entered the neighbor cell size (which is the fluid)

maybe u should post up the picture of ur model and mesh.
Its hard to understand what u trying to do.
