moe is on a distinguished road
hi,

i am doing an explicit VOF multiphase calculation where i want to use variable time stepping via text commands (because i am using scripts for my calculations). i know how to use the commands for fixed time stepping - it is like this if i type in all the commands in fluent:

solve
set
time-step
1 (this is the time-step-size in seconds)
q (for getting back to /solve)
dual-time-iterate
50 (number of time steps)
50 (number of iterations per time step)

and now he is performing 50 time steps with 1s time step size. if i want to use variable time stepping i can give fluent the settings under solver/set/variable-time-stepping but after that i don't know how to start the iteration with the variable settings. does anybody know wich command i have to use?

greets and thx
