Hi,
I have used the Fluent for simulation of wave generation in a tank (piston wave maker), but I have a problem when use a function "autosave". During the simulation, with many iterations (more 80.000), I saved the case and data through function autosave. However, when lack the electricity or when I cancel for a time and close the program for to begin again, occur the error: Error: CDR: invalid argument [1]: wrong type [not a pair] Error Object: #f Please, someone can help me? Thanks Perseu |

Nobody know how to solve this problem?
Because I'm only writing the events of a Dynamic Mesh, and (following a tutorial, but applied to my study) when I write my sliding interfaces it appears also this error. I cannot understand, because, I have defined in the same way as the tutorial, I did it also in the same problem but with a different conditions (that they mustn't afect this) and it was no problem. What can I do? Anyone knows? Thanks for your replying |

The error message indicates that there is an error in the scheme code.
A list value is needed, but a boolean value "#f" is fed. You should check your case/data file, find the position and fix it. |

Is this problem solved???
I had the same problem several times. I save the case (and data sometimes), close it and reopen it. IT works everytime. Hope someone should try it out.. |

PS: or try remeshing (can be coarser or finer..), it should work

DEAR raghu ,
i am doing my m.tech project in water turbine cfd with moving sate for that concern i have made my mesh as one paper and for that concern i have made one main rectangular domain in which one circular rotating domain and in that circle another 3 circular domain around the aerofoil shape baldes in that case whole circular domain with 3 inner circle is roatating with some angular velocity i have attaching some images of my mesh with this i have made interfaces for betn main domain-- outer domain , outer domain --3 inner circle ....and i am using for that concern Multiple Rotating Reference Frames for simulations ... its running but case and dat file recall this error ocuur.... and thanx for u r help ...& plz help me for that concern |

Hi all,
I had this problem too during my fluent modelling in ansys workbench. My solution is simple: reset the "Setup", open the fluent and now you should not encounter this error anymore |

Hi all
I came across the same problem in VOF simulation when defining the Run calculation_create animation play back file..At that time just save the case and data file and reopen it..It will work fine...This is formed when reassigning more than a data to the same name..Eg contour plots of phases and pressure assign to same file sequence1..Assign each contour plot to each file and these problem wont arise... This is what i am feeling Thnx Sajeesh |

Hi all,
I received the same error while trying to view periodic repeats of my geometry, so I guess it has something to do with wrongly defining the BCs?

I was receiving the same error message:
I solved this by deleting all my monitors. It also disappeared when I gave each monitor its own window. So perhaps save your case and delete all your monitors to determine if this is the source of your problem? Hope this helped! |
