Hi All,

I am simulating flow through an air lift pump using fluent, validating with experimental data that gives me maximum efficiency (Mw/Ma). Air is being injected radially from the bottom of the pipe and water is being sucked from bottom.

I tried mixture model with k-e turbulence model. The inlet velocity of air 10 m/sec with volume fraction of 1.I assumed the bubble diameter is radial hole diameter. When I solve it, the mass flow rate of water is coming as zero. This may be due to there is no inflow of water. Can anybody suggest me better boundary conditions.I am attaching brief description.

Thanks,
Ramesh Gannamani.
